There are eight Play Options. You can select:
1.to show non-double optimum plays in red. An "optimum play" is one that is the best play double dummy. 2.to display DD Bidding and DD Play on the Main Screen. 3.to show comments when a deal is first opened. This is also toggled on/off with the F1 key. 4.to slide the cards smoothly onto the table, otherwise they will jump there immediately when clicked. 5.to display HCP. 6.to have plays for opponents' cards made automatically. Generally you would determine the plays for the south sitting playing and when the dummy is north. 7.to allow the items on your screen (fonts, graphics, buttons, etc.) to be increased or decreased by using <Ctrl> + or <Ctrl> - keys. Click for more info on this Zoom feature. 8.to choose the style of card representation.
"Bottom" player The name of the player that will sit at the bottom of the screen. In this manner, the hands will be rotated so that the Bottom Player’s hand will be at the bottom of the screen. Scores, bidding, and other particulars are automatically adjusted. Called "Fixed Player" in earlier versions of DDS, in this version you click the button to Change the Bottom Player.
Color Scheme There is now a choice of seven different color combinations.
